I was reminded last week just how persistant and naging enemies can be. My enemy on this one particular day however, did not take on the form of a human being although it was quite terroristic in nature. I was attempting to remedy and repair a water damage issue for a believer from church whose home was damaged when a sewer drain froze and created a leak while on a 4 week vacation in February. I recognized the need to redirect some major waterlines and thus tapped into the old lines at a convenient spot to run new lines to the basement. With the repairs made and new water supply lines run from the second story to the basement I recharged the water lines only to discover two pin holes in a location that before never presented an issue. So, I turned the water off and decided to replace those lines all the way to the bath tub. Again recharging the lines, I discovered there was now a pin-hole in one of the lines supplying the sink. You can figure from there what I had to do next. Even after that I went through the process again because of one short 3" tube connecting the new lines to a compression fitting on a valve. My enemy was old copper lines with town water ladened with chemicals that eat through copper over time and often never show up intil that line is disturbed. I was all day chasing down those little enemies. Had I been more diligent to recognized my enemy at the onset I would have just replaced it all to begin with. While reading 2 Samuel I recognized something interesting about David's life that never registered with me before but holds great significanc
